My Love Affair with Crocs

Until now, I had 4 pairs of Crocs. I own my first pair in March 2009. It was the brown Malindi. It was love at first sight. I still love this model but unfortunately, Crocs do not reproduce it anymore :(

What I love about Crocs?
Lightweight
Fits perfectly
Over time, the shoes will mold to the unique shape my feet!
Some said the price is a little pricey for a "rubber" shoes but it depends on individuals. For me, it is an investment. My brown Malindi lasted for 3 years. It is still wearable but the sole is already exhausted. By the way, the pink Malindi is the imitation. Bought it out of curiosity as I wanted to test what are the difference between the original and the imitation.

Original Crocs has the "rubbery" feel when you touch and feel it while the imitation one feel like plastic.

Nowadays, the designs are getting more and more fancy. And some can even change colour when exposed to the sun! Not bad huh?!

Still, I love those sling backs like Malindi and I'm actually looking at this model, Thea.

Thea

It looks similar to Malindi and it is priced at RM129. Need to get this pair and was having a hard time looking for it as most outlet do not have this model. Haih.

Back to the Crocs story, everyone in the family except my brother owns at least a pair of Corcs. Initially, they have this perception that the price is too expensive for a cheap looking shoes. But after they have the awareness of the benefit of wearing Crocs (expecially my dad), they started to make purchase. In fact, dad had been bugging the whole family for a few weeks before we decided to buy one for him and he's so proud of his Crocs that he wears it to everywhere he goes. Lol!

In a nutshell, this is a brand that I will continue to support. I wish they could bring in more variety and colours to Malaysia cause I notice US Crocs' site has so many models that are not available here.

Review: Master Toast, The Scott Garden

Anyone who knows me well would know that I frequent Scott Garden so much that I go there for at least thrice a week. Reasons being it's near to my workplace, good chill out place with colleagues, Tesco is in there and plenty of food outlets!

Yup. What I want to share today is this restaurant that I discover a few months back - Master Toast. By far, this restaurant serves Western and Eastern food and what makes me like this restaurant so much are the foods and services.

The first time I went there was with darling Amelia. Don't remember what we ordered but what I know is the foods remind me of my mum's cooking. Only here I can really taste something similar to my mum's food.

I particularly like their dessert especially gingko barkey with fu chuk. Not to say I'm a huge fan of this dessert (but I really love this dessert), their dessert is very yummy and it's not the diluted type. You can expect lots of gingko inside!

Other than that, the toasts are nice too. Colleagues really like their toast and mind you, it's toast on a stick.

Besides, the dishes are nice and do ask for their homemade sambal. It taste just like mum's! Seriously!

Service wise, the do deliver to our office for purchase above RM50. Delivery is free by the way.

Do go and give them a try. You won't regret it! :)

p/s: Amelia and I just got a complimentary gingko barley with fu chuk today :)

Of Love, Relationship & Future Commitment

This is just a random thought. A friend has been telling me about her story and I think it is a serious consideration before she decided to engage to her bf and eventually get married.

Based on what I can interpret from her side of story, things doesn't seem so good to me. Frequent arguments, and sometimes fight over their past matters isn't a good indicator. I had been through this phase. And it's a very unhappy ones.

To me, love is love. Ability to commit and go through the future together will be another issue. It needs two persons' trust, commitment, love etc to go through the life long journey. You may be loving him, but you know you won't be able to have a good future with him, and that's the time when you have to make a decision to let go.

Few weeks ago, she has sat down with the bf and discuss all the unhappiness and issues that stigmatise their relationship for so long. Just an hour ago, she tells me that the bf keep what he had promised her. It's a good sign right? Hopefully it's not a short term ones as I know they both love each other deeply and if both of them can finally let go of the issues, there shouldn't be any problem.

All the best girl. Hope there'll be good news and I want to see your happy smile again :)

Food Post: Fish Head Noodle Reviews (4-in-1)

This is a 4-in-1 fish head noodle review. I'm not really a fan of fish head noodle but it just struck me to try the noodle and make comparison of which shop serves the best one.

Kaki Bola XO Fish Head Noodle, Paramount Garden, PJ

Up to now, I still favour the one at Kaki Bola XO Fish Head Noodle at Paramount Garden, PJ.

Fish Paste Noodle
Went for this with Fiona. Fiona is a Sarawakian and she has very good taste bud. Eventually, she said it's very hard to get "coarse" mee hoon in KL and apparently this restaurant serves that besides the regular mee hoon we had.

Soup is fragrant and the mee hoon just perfectly cooked. I choose to have fish paste noodle due to laziness. Their regular portion is actually very large and the have large on the menu also. I have no idea how is the large though.

Home Made Fish Head Noodle, Mid Valley City

This is just so so. Nothing to rave about. Went for this after work with Amelia.

Bad mee hoon texture. It's not soft enough. The soup ain't fragrant enough. Not recommended.

Win Soon Fish Head Noodles, Kuchai Lama, KL

Apparently this restaurant is very popular. Went for this with Chris the other day. Since it's popular, I suppose the food are awesome. But...major letdown! Worst fish head noodle ever! Seriously! Both of us don't even finish our food. :(

On the side note, I think they added much MSG cause I feel so thirsty after that. Will not go to eat at there anymore.

Woo Pin Fish Head Noodle, Taman Danau Desa, KL

Went for this tonight with uni mate, Waiz. This restaurant is also famous for its fish head noodle. It actually tasted good but somehow I still prefer the one from Kaki Bola.

Will recommend this also. Portion is actually quite huge. Somehow, the fish paste tasted a little salty to me.

Review: Trésor Midnight Rose from Lancôme

I won something from participating in a Facebook contest! And it's a 50 ml bottle of Trésor Midnight Rose EDP. Indeed, I'm quite surprise winning it though. <3

I won it back in February. Yeah, this is a very late blog post but hey, I just started to blog again after disappearing from the blog sphere for almost a year.

Back to the review, received the prize a week later. Love at first sight..to the bottle's design. Haha! With purple hues and a small purple flower, it's really nice :)

So here's the description for the EDP:

Charming. Mischievous. Desirable.  A sexy-sweet blend of raspberry, rose, vanilla and sensual musk for mischievous femininity: Catch my heart if you can!
Top Notes: Raspberry, Black currant bud absolute
Middle Notes: Rose absolute, Jasmine
Base Notes: Vanilla, Musk

Basically, I had been using it for a few times. I think it suits both day and evening use, just that I prefer to use it during dinners and night outings. It has a very sweet blackcurrant smell and slowly it subsides into soft, powdery, "vanilla-ish" smell with subtle blackcurrant scent. And the scent is very long lasting! Like seriously. It lasted till the next morning! Not that I didn't bath after outings but the scent stayed in my clothes and the whole room smells so sweet!

Personally, I would recommend this perfume as it's not too matured for my age and yet not too girlish. It's just right. :)

And I decided to blog again

It had been almost a year since I last blogged. And I'm going to start blogging again. Just a sudden thought though.
