This is a "big" day for the Hokkien people. Also a busy day for my mum as she's taking orders to make kuihs like ang ku, mi ku, huat kueh etc.
Mi ku,
Ang ku.
Huat kueh. Left side one is the normal huat kueh and the right one are santan huat keuh.
Also, mum is taking a huge amount of orders! Let you guys see the photos in which all the finished products are being prepared to be send out. Yes, my parents do delivery also.
The living hall full of kueh!
Orders from customers.
Besides, my mum also need to prepare the foods and paraphernalia for the prayer at midnight. So many work and so little time!
Dried food for prayer.
Duck, chicken, fish, crab.
Roasted pork.
Sugar canes.
Prayers starts at midnight of the ninth day of CNY. It's a custom (or they created it?) Hokkien Chinese will bombard the sky with fireworks. Though it's beautiful to see, somehow I feel annoyed by it after seeing them for 30 minutes.
Here's some photos I took that night. Enjoy!
Dad and uncle.
Really sorry for not updating so long ya? :P
